Fresh New Crown Silicone-Backed Grip Bags

At Crown we are looking to improve further and further to provide both awesomely functional and stylish products for our end user. With that in mind, we sought to create a stylish new grip bag that protect Crown silicone-backed grips, whilst in transit and on the retail shelf.

Made from a raw aluminium core and protective, PET inner and outer layer it provides a scratch and puncture resistant outer surface that’s 100% waterproof. Keeping Crown grips fresh and looking good on their way to you. The grips do not require any additional packaging, saving on time and material normally associated with packaging them up.

We have also introduced a sample pad to the outside so that you can preview the soft, yet tacky feel and the spongy silicone backing of the grip whilst keeping the fresh grip inside clean until its needed. This bag features Crown’s signature minimalistic and functional design whilst carrying forward our ethos to remain the number one manufacture of high tech field hockey equipment.

The packaging will now become a feature of all Crown Grip ordered and will be rolled out in 6 countries worldwide.Contact CEO Evan for inquires on evan@crownhockey.co.uk or simply to say hello.

BEHIND THE SCENES AT CROWN HOCKEY

Hello Everyone

Recently we have decided that it would be interesting to show you all more 'behind the scene' footage of the Crown team at work.

As we are the only brand/manufacturer of field hockey sticks we felt that we could give players a unique insight. We often find ourselves in some pretty cool manufacturing facilities and we are always experimenting and testing.

Linked below is our first behind the scenes episode, where myself and Matt tested out a few different products and methods for applying our blue and red coloured coatings to our Shadow series range of sticks.

Please let us know what you would like to see next?

All The Best,

Evan @ Crown

How to grip a Hockey stick

How to grip a field hockey stick

Hello Everyone.

Recently we have had some emails in from players who have purchased our silicon-backed Crown grips, many have asked for instructions on how to best apply a new grip to their stick.
So we have produced this video which shows how we apply grips to Crown sticks.
Please take a look at the video and let me know if you have any further questions, but to give some quick advice: My top tips are:
  1. Start with a clean and dry grip-less hockey stick.
  2. Place the stick or a clean table or on your knees.
  3. Overlap each grip layer by 2mm.
  4. Remember to completely remove the backing to the adhesive tape.
  5. Pull the grip firmly to keep the wrapping tight.
  6. Get hold of a very sharp pair of scissors to cut the end diagonal line.
  7. Find some good finishing (or electrical) tape and use a good amount, just to be on the safe side.
Good Luck,

All the best!
